Therapy ABC - in correcting the body, we distinguish two pathological aspects: primary biomechanical pathologies (PBP), i.e. bones beyond the optimal mechanical position, and the meninges.
Interestingly, it takes a little force to correct the PBP (90-95% setting, 5-10% thrust force)
It is completely different with the release of the meninges, which are usually the first structure to be repaired by almost everyone! There the STRENGTH is a very important factor (10-20% STRENGTH, 80-90% setting). The bones are handled gently, but to release the meninges, which is a solid soft tissue, we need a solid push to break the adhesions (sticking together) at the base of the skull.
A slightly different approach is required for children, whose release of the meninges is often achieved by the factor of setting and a gentle push. However, this tendency does not apply to seemingly "fragile" elderly people who require a normal approach :)
Going back to the meningal release, why is the POSITIONING essential to unstuck the meninges off the spinal canal? Because we do not touch the glued structures directly, and we transmit the force to the stretched meninges by positioning them!
Below is a photo of the meninges, see for yourself what it looks like inside!
